Privacy Policy

1. Overview

The Liouville Labs Inc ("we") handles personal information in Fortune Weenie as described here.

Fortune Weenie has no sign-up or login, and we never ask for your name, phone number, or email address.

2. What we process and why

Uploaded photo (temporary): used only for the age check and to generate the character image. Your browser shrinks it to at most 1024px on the long edge before sending. See section 3 for how it is kept and deleted.

Face proportion measurements: seven ratios and angles your browser computes from the photo. The server uses them only to calculate stats and the grade and does not store them per result, except that the rounded figures shown on the card as analysis evidence are part of the result data. To calibrate the grade distribution we keep only cumulative counts per (measurement, bucket), with no date or time; these counts are not linked to any result, IP, or person.

Result data: stats, total, grade, title, evidence lines, language, character image, and creation/report times.

Salted hash of your IP address: used for rate limiting and abuse-prevention records (server logs). Our application does not store your original IP address.

Browser storage: a language cookie (fw_locale, 1 year), your age confirmation (session storage, cleared when the tab closes), and up to 20 result IDs created on this device (local storage, to tell your own results apart from ones shared with you). Only the language cookie is sent to our server.

3. How your photo is handled and deleted

For the age check and character generation, the photo is sent to the AI provider we have configured (Google Gemini API or OpenAI API).

The photo is held only in server memory and is deleted as soon as character generation finishes, whether it succeeds or fails. In every case it is deleted automatically after at most 10 minutes.

The photo is never written to our database, file storage, or logs. If the age check does not pass, the photo is discarded immediately and no result is created.

When OpenAI is used, the age-check request is configured not to be stored by the provider (store: false). Any other retention or processing on the provider's side follows that provider's data processing policy.

4. International transfer

Recipient: Google LLC (Gemini API) or OpenAI, L.L.C. (OpenAI API), whichever we have configured.

Country: United States. When and how: sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) when you request an analysis.

Data transferred: your uploaded photo. Purpose: age check and character image generation.

Retention: according to each provider's data processing policy.

If you do not want this transfer, do not upload a photo; the service cannot be used without one.

5. Hosting and infrastructure

Result data, character images, and rate-limit records are stored with our cloud hosting and database providers (Vercel, Neon, Upstash).

6. Face data (biometrics)

Face proportion measurements are used only to compute entertainment stats. They are never used to verify identity or recognize anyone, and we do not create face-recognition templates.

Facial landmark coordinates stay in your browser and are not sent to our server. Measurements are not stored linked to an individual result (except the rounded evidence figures shown on the card).

7. Minors

You must be 19 or older (18 or older outside Korea).

Photos with obvious signs of a minor are not analyzed; no result is created and the photo is discarded.

8. Other people's photos and reports

Only upload your own photo or one you have the person's consent to use.

Reporting a result with the "My face is being used without consent" button makes it private immediately and deletes its character image.

9. Retention and deletion requests

Result data is kept until it is reported or we receive a deletion request. Result pages can be viewed by anyone who has the link.

To delete, access, or stop processing of a result, email contact@fortuneweenie.com with the result link. We have no accounts, so the link is the only way we can identify it.

Calibration bucket counts are statistics not linked to any person or result, so they cannot be deleted individually.

10. Third-party scripts

The face measurement model and runtime files are served from our own server; opening the page makes no request to an external CDN.

Kakao's JavaScript SDK (Kakao Corp.) is loaded only when you tap the KakaoTalk share button. At that point your browser connects to Kakao's servers.
